It's too easy for people, both male and female, to fall into a pattern of living in the past because it's easier than having a fulfilling present. It's great that women are coming out of the woodwork and using dating sites like http://www.cougared.com and others to find men who are younger, and who can help them to live active, enjoyable lives, rather than women saying 'I'm too old to have fun now, I suppose I'll just be alone or frustrated by the depressing men my age.' Why should they settle for less? I totally agree with your point about women looking for men who are not laden with baggage from the past.
